Time flies in the world of facilities management and property consulting. So much so that this year we’re going to be celebrating our fifth birthday! To commemorate this important anniversary, we thought we’d take a look back at the story-so-far at TPG.
We can trace everything back to our Director, Andy Harvie.
Qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1996, he went on to run building & facilities departments for blue chip organisations in the retail and leisure sectors, including Dixons Stores Group, Renault and Peacocks.
But in 2012, he had an idea for a new business.
Cast your mind back to February 2012. Heavy snow was falling across the UK, the Queen celebrated her Diamond Jubilee and Andy developed a business plan that would become TPG.
Since then, we’ve successfully completed hundreds of projects and built a reputation for delivering results. From building surveying and project management to shop fitting and refurbishments, we’ve worked with clients of all sizes across the UK.
Since launching in 2012, we’ve grown from three people in a small office to 14 members of staff across two offices in South Wales and Manchester.
In 2015, we also added a new contractor division to deliver building maintenance, facilities management and compliance services across the UK. We’ve already seen rapid expansion in this division of the business.
We definitely wouldn’t be where we are today without the strong relationships we’ve built with our commercial clients. Working with the likes of Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Accor Hotels, and Tenovus Cancer Care, we’ve earned a reputation for being thorough, efficient and friendly. We’re also proud to say that we’ve retained Bon Marche’s business from the year they launched right up to today.
Keep an eye out next month (March 2017) because our fifth birthday celebrations will be featured in First Voice, the flagship magazine of the Federation of Small Businesses.
We’ll leave the last few words to Andy; “With 5 years under our belt, after celebrating our birthday with a team away day, we’ll be looking forward to a bright future with more success to come.”
