Our client acquired a former cold store property in the West Midlands which was constructed in the mid 1970’s and extends to 99,000 sq ft on a site totalling four acres. It provided the former occupier with storage for frozen goods and our client planned an investment and recommissioning project to enable them to utilise the facility for freezing, distribution, and storage of their products.
TPG were engaged as CDM Coordinator (CDM2007) for the project and undertook to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase of the recommissioning project. TPG also reviewed and appraised all contractor appointments and produced the pre-construction information. TPG worked closely with the Principal Contractor to ensure the Principal Contractor was able to manage and monitor health and safety during the construction phase.
